IMU has implemented the virtual desktop environment to assist students to access specialized software that requires a special license for authentication and cannot be installed on personal devices. This solution currently supports the following key applications: • NutriPro: Nutrition and dietician analysis software. • IBM SPSS: Statistical analysis software. • ChemDraw: Chemical structure drawing software. To connect to our campus Wi-Fi, you can use the following SSIDs for your devices: BJ Campus: Student@IMU or Student_5Ghz, LiT Campus: Student@LiT We encourage students to immediately reach out to the ITS helpdesk or use the MyIMU app to submit an ITS feedback form if you encounter any issues with internet/Wi-Fi connectivity. IMU has implemented Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all student and staff accounts as part of its security features. MFA is an electronic authentication method that requires users to provide two or more forms of identity verification before they are allowed access to a website, network, or application. This helps prevent your account from being compromised. The guide shows how to activate MFA using the Microsoft Authenticator app, which is the recommended method of verification to support students accessing IMU materials outside the campus using different Wi-Fi connections or devices. Please inform the ITS Helpdesk whenever you update your contact details, especially your phone number and email ID. This will ensure you receive MFA notifications. |
