In the portal, the course page is the central space where students interact with the learning content, resources, and activities. Here's how it works for students:

  • Accessing the Course Page

    • After logging into Moodle, students see their Dashboard or My courses list.

    • Clicking on a course name takes them to the course page.

  • Layout of the Course Page

    The layout may vary depending on how the teacher designed the course, but typically includes:

    • Sections or Topics: Courses are divided into weekly sections or topics/modules.

    • Blocks: Side panels with useful tools (calendar, upcoming events, messages, etc.).

    • Navigation Bar: Shows breadcrumbs to easily go back to previous pages or dashboard.

  • What Students Can Do on the Course Page

    • View Announcements: Important updates from the lecturer.

    • Access Resources: Download lecture notes, slides, readings, videos, etc.

    • Participate in Activities:

      • Quizzes & Assignments

      • Forums & Discussions

      • Surveys, Wikis, or Lessons

    • Submit Assignments: Upload files or enter online text before the due date.

    • Check Grades: View scores for assignments and quizzes via the Grades link.

    • Track Progress: If enabled, students see which activities are complete or pending.

    • Some content might be restricted based on date, activity completion, or prerequisites.

    • Students will only see activities and materials they have permission to access.

    • Messages & Notifications: Students can message teachers or classmates and get notifications for deadlines.

    • Calendar Integration: Course deadlines appear on the Moodle calendar.
