differentiate the various types of diabetes and compare the incidence and prevalence of diabetes in Malaysia with the global epidemiology |
discuss diabetes management, prevention of micro- and macro-vascular diabetes complications and differentiate the varieties of glucose lowering medications as well as other related medications including the role of complementary medicines in diabetes management |
demonstrate the preparation and administration techniques of insulin and other injectables and correct annual preventive screening procedures in foot and eye care |
demonstrate patient-centred counselling and education using updated evidenced-based resources for patients and/or caregivers on prevention and management of acute diabetes complications |
