  • Topic 1: e-Learning

    • Introduction

      The first topic of this module will cover the basic concept of e-Learning, and the tools used to deliver blended learning. We explored the basis of online learning, learning styles and shared successful examples of technology-enhanced learning. Commonly used tools for content design and development in health professions education. 

      Learning Outcomes

      • To explain cognitive and learning styles as a basis for online education
      • Discuss successful examples of using technology in enhancing learning
      • Review commonly available eLearning tools for Health Professions Education
      • Describe computer-aided learning  - Simulation, Content, delivery - Assessment - E-portfolios  - Communication - Discussion forums - Administration and management
      • Identify Ethical issues in online education
