About Dr. Hazwanie Bt Hashim

Dr Hazwanie received her Ph.D. in Pharmacogenomics at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Puncak Alam based on her study title, "Integrated pharmacogenomics - metabolomics approaches in personalising medicine for colorectal cancer treated with 5-fluorouracil." Integration of pharmacogenomics and metabolomics in personalising medicine intended to profile both the genetics and metabolomics markers that could be useful in the clinical monitoring of patients’ responses towards 5-FU and its disease.
She and her research team has received international and local awards for their research findings. Her research interest is on the role of genome variations towards precision medicine in obesity and metabolic disorders.
