Synopsis
This course covers the basic concept of corruption, including the value of integrity, anti-corruption, forms of corruption, abuse of power in daily activities and organizations as well as ways to prevent corruption. Cases related to corruption are discussed. Teaching and learning methods are implemented in the form of ‘experiential learning’ through individual and group activities.

LO1: understand the definition and terminology of corruption, as well as the forms of bribery.
LO2: understanding the offenses related to corruption involving various forms of bribery offered, solicited, and accepted under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
LO3: understand that corruption offenses encompass false claims and abuse of power/position.
LO4: understanding and distinguishing between gifts and corruption.
LO5: know the legal implications resulting from acts of corruption.

LO1: identifiy of corruption offenses by organisations commercial – Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009.
LO2: define commercial organisations and people who affiliated with commercial organisations.
LO3: understand the form of punishment for corporate liability offences.
LO4: understand the TRUST principle in meeting the requirements of the procedure which is sufficient under Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009.
