PLAGIARISM AND SIMILARITY INDEX

Plagiarism is the copying of ideas and style of expression of others without acknowledging them as sources in a proper reference list. Assignments that are plagiarised will be failed and awarded no marks.

The similarity Index generated by Turn-It-In indicates the percentage of text in submitted work that is similar to other publications. In this case, there may be sentences quoted which may be matched. Properly referenced material will be accepted. However, an assignment should not show a similarity index higher than 15%. To avoid this, paraphrase phrases or sentences that do not need to be directly quoted. Re-submissions to Turn-it-in if the Similarity Index is higher than 15% are allowed.

Instructions for submission to Turn-it-in

1. The document you upload must only contain your 1,000 word essay. Do not include the reference list. Name the document with your name.

2. Ensure the font size (Size 12), type (Times New Roman) and spacing (1.5) follow the given instructions. 

3. Upload the document and print the "Current View". The essay with a similarity index of 15% and below is accepted.
