Topic 9 Introduction
Congratulations, you have come to the end of this module. This topic 9 is the last topic on Heat and Body Temperature which includes the following sub-topics: Body Temperature and Thermoregulation; Imbalances in body temperature-hypothermia and hyperthermia; Heat exchange and its effects: Hot Compress and Tepid Sponge. Although you have already learned body temperature in your diploma study, this topic will help you to revise on what you have already known and what nurses must understand in maintaining the patient's normal temperature.
