
This course integrates the
knowledge of human biology, pathophysiology, therapeutics and management of the
eye, ear, nose and throat. The course
provides the student with evidence-based knowledge, skills and attitudes
required in the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care
for individuals with alterations of commonly occurring conditions / diseases of
the eye, ear, nose and throat. The
student will also learn of the rehabilitative process of caring for the
visually and hearing impaired.
